Folksy Friday: 22nd October Statement pieces

Statement pieces are everywhere
The very best statement pieces are the handmade unique ones.  There is nothing more frustrating than feeling fabulous in your new piece and seeing someone wearing the same thing.  Kinda takes the wind out of your sails wouldn't you agree.

Statement pieces can be anything with a dash of boldness.
Go for whatever feels right to you.  I have added a few of my suggestions to start you off!

Have a great weekend, and don't forget only 65 shopping days until Christmas ;)

Just click on pictures to be taken to the sellers shop.

Folksy Friday: 79 shopping days 'til Christmas

So whether we have uttered the words out loud yet or not, most of us are thinking about Christmas shopping.  Why not give gifts that are handmade in the UK this year, and shop on Folksy.

You would be amazed at the amount of talent  there is on this fair island of ours.  There are even gifts for the men...yes not just socks.  Fabulous things, and when you factor in that you can do it from your warm house.  No crowds, and if you want to you could have a glass of mulled wine and a mince pie too ;)

I have decided to take the hard work out of it for you by featuring some really special items I have spotted this week.

A few from me first.

Celebrity spotting and Christmas Pressie ideas

Todays topic is celebrity spotting, and Christmas shopping.
The celebrity spotting is regarding Waldo the Worm creator Dave who met Robbie Williams yesterday at his place of work.  The Christmas shopping is my pick of things that I think would suit various giftees.  Or just that I fancy featuring, lol.

Waldo the Worm lives happily in his magical, colourful world. However, there is just one thing wrong, two jealous snails called Kelly and Shelly who are a little bit mean to poor Waldo come along. But one day when disaster strikes, Waldo becomes a hero and save the day.

Dealing with bullying and friendship, Waldo the Worm is a fun filled adventure for children of all ages, whether it is read to them, or read it on their own or with friends
